Hot on the heels of their recent single "Heartbeats (Amor Fati)", San Francisco duo Baybs present the grand debut of the affectionate love song “You’re The Only One”. Bay Area natives Craig Jacobs and Melissa Russi build off a bond that began on the dunes of Ocean Beach in SF that they convey into sentimentally spun vignettes of poetic pop. Recorded locally at Light Rail Studios with Ty Thorpe, Elton Cunniffe for Honey House Records — Baybs present a duet that approaches the euphoria and synergy of intimate bonds that break beyond description and fly high off feelings that set sail far off into the the depths of the sky.

“You’re the Only One” finds Melissa and Craig exchanging romantic expressions of adoration like love notes passed in class or amorous letters sent across long distances. The minimalist arrangement is strummed like a sunny day spent at the beach with kindred company embracing the leisurely sunny moments that the summer solstice brings. Baybs share lyrics of sweet nothings that swim back and forth in a blend of the sensual, sincere and hedonistic that flies high off the aphrodisiac chemistry of a loving partnership. Jacobs and Russi transform candid gestures and interludes into an evocative holiday portrayed by the heart’s own unique design when interwoven with a match that is unrivaled to anyone else in the world. Baybs’ “You’re the Only One” is a sincere love ballad that brings a bright glow of sun-kissed beauty that offers the summer of 2019 some necessary illumination and much needed earnest affection.

Baybs’ Craig Jacobs and Melissa Russi provided the following exclusive insights on their new single:

Existing somewhere between a love and lustful song, "You're The Only One" is about quickly falling for someone because you feel captivated and electrified when you are around them. In reality you do not actually know their true essence and have created the ideal image of all that you yearn for. At this point you have constructed a myth that only this one person can make you feel happy and complete.
